THE OPPORTUNITY
Business development and telesales are a new and important focus of Forklift Truck Depot Limited. We need someone confident on the phone who can help us introduce our services to new businesses, build a reliable pipeline and keep follows ups moving.
This is not purely an administrative position. Outbound calling, researching potential customers and creating new opportunity's will be a central part of the working week, alongside practical office support.

Your Main Responsibilities
TELESALES & NEW BUSINESS
OFFICE AND CUSTOMER SUPPORT
Make outbound calls to prospective new businesses
Answer incoming calls and emails professionally
Research suitable companies and identify decision makers
Update customer and prospect records
Introduce forklift sales, hire, servicing and maintenance support
Qualify customer and create genuine sales opportunities
Book appointments and site visits for the sales team
Follow up enquiries, quotations and previous conversations
Keep acurate notes and next actions
Prepare straight forward documents and correspondance
Support general data entry and office organisation
Assist the wider team with day-to-day admin and marketing

This role suits someone who enjoys speaking to people, is comfortable making outbound calls and can turn a initial conversation into a business opportunity.
What We Are Looking For
You will have a confident and natural telephone manner with preferably previous telesales, telemarketing or other customer facing experience.
​
You have the ability to research and organise your own workload, and keep accurate of conversations and follow-ups.
​
Excellent written communication and attention to detail are essential, along with a willingness to learn about forklift products and services.
Our telesales function is new, so you must be capable of creating a clear prospecting and follow up structure, rather than waiting for a finished system.
